Berry Sweet Treats Beginning

Im an at home treat maker who got my food handlers certificate when I was 14. I originally got my certificate to work at a family friends ice cream store and to also help my grandmother with her bakery business. Making cakes and desserts with my grandma was always the highlight of my day, week, or month. I loved that she would let me help and be creative. I even talked about opening a bakery with her and the name that we came up with was Bakecandery. This was the name that I came up with because we made cakes and I made candied fruits and other treats. Now the name wasn't perfect but the fact that I would've been doing it with her was all that mattered. Unfortunately things happened as I got older and my grandmother is no longer in my book anymore. Now I'm 19, I'm a mom, and a Fiancé! I know other people might say that I'm too young to be all of those things but my life has never made sense to me before until I met my daughters father, and until I had my little girl. The last thing I want is for her to grow up the way I did. I want her to see the bright side of life and I want her to be able to see that dreams are achievable, and that she doesn't have to be a lawyer, or a doctor to be successful in life. I want her to see that she can succeed in life by being who SHE wants to be. Not what the world forces her to be. We should all be able to make a living doing the things we want to do, not the things we were told to be when we were younger. That is the life lesson i want to teach my daughter.
